Donald Trump’s Justice Department is reportedly investigating Gavin Newsom, his wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom, and people close to them — and Newsom says Trump is targeting him because he may run for president.

This is a direct threat to every potential candidate in the next presidential election, and our democracy as a whole.
