Don’t Let the EPA Gut the Clean Water Act

Trump's EPA is trying to gut one of America's most important clean water laws — with a proposal that could strip Clean Water Act protections from at least 95% of individual wetlands and 79% of rivers and streams in the continental U.S.

If finalized, their plan would leave countless waterways vulnerable to pollution, destruction, and development without federal permits or safeguards.

The EPA is asking the public for comments on their plan to gut the Clean Water Act until October 9th, so we need to push back on this disastrous plan before it’s too late.

Don't let the EPA sacrifice our waterways to polluters. Sign the petition to submit your public comment today.

Wetlands filter pollution, absorb floodwaters, protect wildlife, and help keep drinking water sources clean. Streams that do not flow year-round still connect to rivers, lakes, and communities downstream. Gutting protections for them means polluters get more freedom while families are left with more risk.

Everyone deserves clean water to drink, fish, and play in. Wildlife needs clean water to thrive.

Don't let the EPA erase protections for our waterways. Sign the petition today to submit a public comment urging the EPA to protect wetlands and streams under the Clean Water Act.

The public comment petition reads: "Do not eliminate Clean Water Act protections for U.S. wetlands and streams. Removing protections would increase flood risks, harm wildlife habitat, and threaten drinking water sources for millions of Americans."
