Don’t Let Rubio Turn Dissent Into Terrorism

Marco Rubio is trying to export Trump’s war on dissent to the rest of the world — and Congress must investigate now.

Rubio has reportedly invited officials from more than 60 countries to a State Department summit focused on so-called "far-left terrorism." But some U.S. allies are already recoiling, reportedly questioning whether the administration is using counterterrorism language to push a political agenda.

That should alarm every American. When the government starts blurring the line between political dissent and terrorism, free speech, protest rights, and basic civil liberties are at risk.

Tell the House Judiciary Committee: investigate Rubio’s dangerous attempt to turn dissent into terrorism.

The United States should be defending free expression abroad — not pressuring other governments to join a vague ideological crackdown. History shows that when governments expand terrorism powers without clear limits, marginalized communities, protest movements, and political dissidents often pay the price.

The House Judiciary Committee must open an investigation into Rubio’s summit, the administration’s antifa-related agenda, and any effort to use foreign governments, intelligence sharing, or terrorism authorities to target activists, protesters, journalists, or political opponents.

Add your name now to demand Congress investigate Rubio’s summit and stop Trump officials from turning dissent into terrorism.

The petition to the House Judiciary Committee reads:

"Launch a full investigation into Secretary Marco Rubio’s international ‘far-left terrorism’ summit and any Trump administration effort to use terrorism powers, foreign partnerships, surveillance tools, or intelligence sharing to target political dissent, protesters, activists, journalists, or First Amendment-protected activity."
