Don't Frack Our State Parks

Amidst the serene trails and tranquil waters of our state parks, a decision with profound consequences has been made. Ohio's state parks, guardians of natural beauty and wildlife sanctuaries, are now facing the onset of fracking operations beneath their grounds.

The Ohio Oil and Gas Land Management Commission has opened the door for this invasive practice, sanctioning bids for oil and gas companies to tunnel into the earth beneath these protected lands.

Allowing this precedent to stand could lead to state parks in other states around the country opening up to harmful oil and gas development. It's up to us to fight back and make sure that doesn't come to pass.

As the echoes of dissent reverberate from the meeting rooms to the courts, we are reminded that this is not just about land rights; it's about safeguarding our values and the world we envision.

A world where the environment is not auctioned off to the highest bidder, where communities thrive free from the specter of ecological harm.

We must not stand idly by as these treasures are bartered away, potentially endangering the ecosystems and communities that rely on them.

Take a stand against fracking in state parks. Add your name to the petition today.
