Demand Urgent Gun Control Action Now

As of February 15 this year, at least 4,994 people have died from gun violence in the U.S., which averages to about 108 deaths each day.

Mass shootings are becoming more and more prevalent, with a mass shooting taking place earlier this month following the parade for the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl win that left one person dead and injured over 20 others.

President Joe Biden released a powerful statement following the Kansas City shooting lamenting the ongoing gun violence epidemic.

“The epidemic of gun violence is ripping apart families and communities every day. Some make the news. Much of it doesn’t. But all of it is unacceptable. We have to decide who we are as a country. For me, we’re a country where people should have the right to go to school, to go to church, to walk the street — and to attend a Super Bowl celebration — without fear of losing your life to gun violence.”

President Biden is right: It is time to act. We can’t wait any longer for action on gun control. Too many lives are at risk while we wait for action. Sign the petition to demand gun control action now.
