Demand Biden Declare a Climate Emergency Now

Monday July 3 was the hottest average global temperature ever recorded. The next day, that record was broken again. 

Now, just a few weeks later, individual cities and countries are shattering their all-time high temperature records. Ocean temperatures haven’t been spared. 

Waters near the Florida Keys recently hit a scorching 98 degrees – literally, like a hot tub.

Scientists warned us for decades that continuing to burn fossil fuels would lead to higher temperatures and other extreme impacts. It’s happening right now.

President Biden and other US policymakers have made some advances in recent years - including passage of the Inflation Reduction Act – but it’s not nearly enough to keep climate change in check.
