DEMAND action for Mahmoud

ICE agents unlawfully arrested and detained Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian activist and recent graduate of Columbia University. Right now, he is at high risk of deportation.

Mahmoud is a lawful permanent resident. He was exercising his right to peacefully protest. He has not been charged with a crime.

Mahmoud was targeted for his role in student protests at Columbia last year, and his arrest comes on the heels of the State Department’s announcement that it plans to revoke the visas or green cards and deport students affiliated with pro-Palestine protests.

ICE is holding him in a notoriously cruel detention facility in Louisiana and informed him that they have "revoked" his green card. No one should be ripped away from their family and sent to detention for exercising their right to peacefully protest – and no one should be deported for speaking out for human rights.

Demand action for Mahmoud to ensure that the Trump administration upholds Mahmoud Khalil’s right to due process, and release him from detention immediately to be reunited with his wife.
