Congress needs to stand up for Crohn’s and colitis patients

Delayed treatment. Excessive health care costs. The need for new breakthrough treatments.

These are just some of the challenges Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis patients face every day in trying to treat their disease. 

Congress needs to stand up and do more for these Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) patients. 

This includes:
•	No longer allowing health insurance companies to endlessly delay approval for tests and treatments recommended by a patient’s doctor
•	Accelerate the approval of IBD drugs treating children and young adults
•	Allocate dedicated funding for IBD research
