CDC: Ensure Widespread Vaccine Availability For Kids

The new COVID-19 vaccine became available last month and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is recommending that all Americans six months of age or older get it as soon as possible.

That's because cases are on the rise – and the new booster was specifically designed to prevent more recent variants of the virus.

There's just one problem: In large swaths of the United States, it's not available for kids at all.

Parents around the country have had the same experience. Everyone they call says the vaccines aren't yet available for their kids yet – and no one knows when they will be. Primary care providers, pharmacy, clinics – the answer is always the same.

Sign the petition urging the CDC to do everything in its power to ensure the updated COVID-19 vaccine is available to everyone who wants it.

While many Americans have returned to something resembling a pre-pandemic lifestyle, as of right now, COVID-19 is still killing roughly 150 people per day.

It's inexcusable for a country as wealthy as the United States not to make updated vaccines available to everyone who wants it.
