Breaking: Trump Targets EPA Climate Rule, Endangers Us All

The Trump Administration’s EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has just proposed a shocking and dangerous move: repealing the 2009 “endangerment finding” that empowers the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. This foundational scientific determination is backed by decades of research and has been upheld in the courts. It states clearly that greenhouse gases pose a threat to public health and welfare by driving climate change.

This action is not just a bureaucratic tweak. It’s a full-on assault on climate science, the EPA’s legal mandate, and our future. The endangerment finding is the legal backbone of every major U.S. climate regulation—from limits on vehicle emissions to power plant pollution rules. Without it, the federal government will be hamstrung in addressing the climate crisis, just as the planet continues to break heat records, extreme weather intensifies, and communities suffer.

The science is unequivocal: greenhouse gas emissions are the primary driver of global warming. Rising temperatures are fueling wildfires, supercharging hurricanes, and accelerating sea level rise. These changes endanger our health through heatwaves, worsening air quality, disease spread, and environmental destruction. Rolling back the endangerment finding would deny these realities, and silence the very agency tasked with protecting us.

This rollback is a gift to fossil fuel polluters and a betrayal of the public trust. It ignores the clear and overwhelming consensus of the global scientific community and threatens all of our health and safety.

Sign the petition to demand that the EPA abandon its proposed rule to repeal the 2009 Endangerment Finding from the Obama EPA. The science is settled. The danger is real. The EPA must fulfill its duty to protect our climate, our health, and our future—not erase the truth for political convenience.
