Applaud the Ruling Protecting Harvard's Students

A big win for academic freedom and international students: U.S. District Judge Allison Burroughs has temporarily blocked the Trump administration from revoking Harvard University’s ability to enroll students from abroad.

Judge Burroughs issued the ruling just hours after Harvard filed a powerful lawsuit arguing that the administration’s attempt to strip its student visa certification was clear political retaliation for refusing to comply with ideological policy demands.

With nearly 7,000 students at risk, this ruling sends a clear message: universities cannot be coerced into abandoning their principles or silenced for refusing to comply with unconstitutional overreach.

We applaud Judge Burroughs for standing up for the rule of law and protecting the rights of international students, who enrich our communities, campuses, and future.
