Applaud the Court for Protecting Transgender Service Members

A federal court has taken an important stand for fairness, dignity, and constitutional rights — and it deserves applause.

A judge has partially halted the Trump administration’s transgender military ban, protecting active-duty service members from being forced out of the military simply because they are transgender. The court found serious constitutional concerns with the policy and criticized its sweeping exclusions as unsupported by evidence.

The ruling recognized that thousands of transgender Americans have served their country honorably, met military standards, and demonstrated their commitment to protecting our nation. The court also noted that the government failed to show how broadly excluding qualified service members advances military readiness.

This decision is about more than military policy. It is about ensuring that Americans are judged by their service, qualifications, and commitment — not by prejudice or political agendas.

Our armed forces are strongest when every qualified individual willing to serve can do so with dignity and respect.

Add your name to applaud this victory for fairness, equal treatment, and the brave transgender Americans who serve our country every day.
