The American Civil Liberties Union is taking a courageous stand for freedom, fairness, and the Constitution. The ACLU has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration for allegedly using federal immigration enforcement to target Somali and Latino communities in Minnesota — including stopping and arresting U.S. citizens who committed no crime, simply because agents perceived them to be Somali or Latino. This kind of discriminatory enforcement is unacceptable. In America, no one should be questioned, detained, or arrested because of the color of their skin, their name, or their community. Every person deserves basic rights — including due process, equal protection, and freedom from government harassment. By stepping in to challenge these abuses, the ACLU is sending a powerful message: our country cannot become a place where racial profiling is treated as policy. This lawsuit is about protecting communities, defending civil liberties, and making sure the federal government follows the law like everyone else. We applaud the ACLU for standing up for Minnesotans — and for reminding this administration that the Constitution applies to everyone. Add your name to thank the ACLU for fighting for justice, equality, and civil rights — and for standing up to racial profiling and intimidation in Minnesota.
