Applaud States Fighting for Student Debt Relief

In an inspiring stand for fairness and justice, 21 Democratic attorneys general and Washington, D.C. have filed a major lawsuit against the Trump administration’s latest attack on student debt relief.

The administration’s new rule would deny Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) to public servants who work for organizations that supposedly “abet illegal immigration” or “support gender transition for minors.” This cruel and unconstitutional rule is nothing more than a political loyalty test — designed to punish teachers, nurses, and legal aid workers who serve their communities with compassion and integrity.
