Applaud Oregon AG for Fighting Against Trump’s Tariffs!

Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield is standing up for working families, small businesses, and the Constitution by leading a 12-state lawsuit to block President Trump’s sweeping and unauthorized use of emergency powers to impose tariffs.

Rayfield’s bold legal challenge takes on Trump’s misuse of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act — a law never intended to allow a president to sidestep Congress and hike taxes on Americans. These tariffs are already disrupting supply chains, raising prices, and hurting everyday people, from nursery workers to manufacturers and consumers at the grocery store.

Rayfield’s case makes clear: tariffs must be enacted through the proper constitutional process — with congressional approval — not by executive fiat. His leadership is a powerful example of how state attorneys general can defend democracy and economic fairness when federal power is abused.

We applaud AG Rayfield, Arizona AG Kris Mayes, and all the states joining this challenge. Their action is not only about trade — it's about protecting the rule of law and ensuring the executive branch cannot rewrite economic policy alone.

Add your name to thank AG Rayfield and support this critical push to restore checks and balances, economic justice, and constitutional order.
