Applaud Judge Chuang for Blocking USAID’s Dismantling!

We commend U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang for his powerful ruling blocking further destruction of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and the Trump administration. His decision is a crucial step in protecting democracy, upholding the Constitution, and ensuring that critical foreign aid programs remain intact.

Judge Chuang’s ruling affirms that Musk and DOGE have overstepped their authority, attempting to wield unconstitutional power over USAID and override Congress’s role in funding and maintaining federal agencies. By calling out the reckless and harmful actions of this administration, he is defending the separation of powers and the stability of government institutions.

While this ruling stops DOGE from making further cuts and restores access to USAID systems, the fight isn’t over. We urge the courts, lawmakers, and the public to keep pushing until all USAID employees are reinstated and the agency’s funding is fully restored. USAID’s work is vital—providing humanitarian aid, supporting democracy, and fostering global stability. Gutting it for political gain is not just unlawful, it is morally unacceptable.

Thank you, Judge Chuang, for standing up for the rule of law, government accountability, and the millions of people around the world who rely on USAID’s critical work!
