Accountability should never depend on who holds power. Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee are stepping up to investigate whether the Department of Justice unlawfully withheld materials from the public release of the Jeffrey Epstein files — including documents that reportedly reference allegations involving President Trump. Congress passed bipartisan legislation requiring the release of all Epstein-related files in the federal government’s possession, with limited exceptions. If any materials were deliberately withheld in violation of that law or congressional subpoenas, the American people deserve answers. This investigation isn’t about partisanship — it’s about the rule of law. No president, no attorney general, and no administration should be allowed to conceal evidence, sidestep transparency requirements, or decide which facts the public gets to see. Survivors of abuse deserve truth. The public deserves transparency. And Congress has a constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight — especially when credible questions arise about whether the law has been followed. Add your name to applaud Oversight Democrats for pursuing accountability, defending transparency, and making clear that no one — no matter how powerful — is above the law.
