AI Should Benefit Everyone, Not Just Tech Billionaires

Artificial intelligence could reshape every part of our lives — but right now, a handful of Big Tech billionaires are trying to control its future.

Senator Bernie Sanders has introduced the American AI Sovereign Wealth Fund Act, legislation that would give the American people a 50% ownership stake in the largest AI companies and create a public fund estimated at $7 trillion. 

The goal is simple: if AI is built on public knowledge, public research, public infrastructure, and the creative work of millions of people, then the public should share in the wealth it creates.
