Elephants exhibit deep empathy, especially when they lose a member of their herd. They have been observed engaging in mourning rituals, such as covering the body with leaves, branches and dirt, and making sounds that resemble crying. Tragically, dozens of elephants are lost each day across Asia and Africa. Now, these animals are at risk of extinction and we may lose them in our lifetime. Conservation International is working hard to protect the vital habitats these majestic creatures depend on before it’s too late, and we’re counting on conservation supporters like you to join our efforts. Please, will you add your name to help us protect the habitats elephants need to survive?
