Add your name: No more profiting from forced prison labor

Many everyday big-box and supermarket chains stock their shelves with products that rely on forced prison labor, says a groundbreaking report from the Associated Press. And these companies are just a handful of thousands that rake in profits from mass incarceration.

Across the United States, people behind bars are being forced into hard labor—harvesting crops, raising cattle, cleaning dangerous machinery in poultry processing plants—for mere pennies per hour or nothing at all.

This is modern-day slavery. It has to end.

Vera is fighting to end mass incarceration and support the rights and dignity of incarcerated people. Join us →
