Tell Trump’s DOJ: End Witch Hunt Against Fed Chair For Good

The Justice Department told Congress its bogus investigation into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is over.

But Trump says it isn’t. His allies say it could be reopened at any time. And the White House suggests it may have just been moved out of public view.

Either Trump and DOJ leaders are lying to Congress or to us. It’s time for them to permanently end the witch hunt and intimidation against the Federal Reserve, and to set the record straight.

Tell the Department of Justice right now: Permanently shut down any investigation into the Federal Reserve and keep politics out of it.

This all started because Trump demanded lower interest rates for his own gain, and Powell refused to put politics over our economy. So, Trump leaned on the DOJ to launch a bogus investigation into Powell to try to get his way.

The Fed sets interest rates that affect mortgages, credit cards, loans, and the cost of living. Those decisions are supposed to be based on economic reality — not political threats.

But when an investigation can be turned on, turned off, and quietly revived while political demands are being made, the message is clear: fall in line, or face consequences.

This is how you rig an economy on the backs of working people.

Public pressure can force the DOJ to shut this down — publicly and permanently. It’s up to us to make it happen.
