Tell Mike Johnson: Demand Rep. Max Miller's Resignation

Congressman Max Miller is facing serious abuse accusations — and Speaker Mike Johnson has no excuse to look away.

Miller’s ex-wife, Emily Moreno, has accused him of physical abuse, threats, and conduct involving their child. Miller denies the allegations and has sued Moreno for defamation. But the accusations are public, serious, and directly tied to whether someone should keep serving in Congress.

Johnson and House Republicans have a choice: demand accountability now, or send the message that one of their own gets protection no matter what he is accused of.

Tell Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans: Demand Max Miller’s resignation now.

Johnson has done this before. When serious allegations have threatened Republican power, he has repeatedly chosen delay, secrecy, or party unity over full accountability. He declined to call for Tony Gonzales to resign amid misconduct allegations, urged the House Ethics Committee not to release its Matt Gaetz report, and voted against expelling George Santos even after a damning ethics report.

Now Miller is facing serious abuse accusations — and Johnson cannot be allowed to bury another scandal involving one of his own.

A member of Congress accused of domestic and child abuse should not get to wait out the headlines while party leaders stay silent.

Voters deserve answers. Survivors deserve to see powerful politicians held to basic standards. And Congress deserves leaders who take abuse accusations seriously, even when the accused is politically useful.

Add your name now to tell Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans: Don’t bury the Max Miller accusations. Demand accountability now.

The petition to Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republican leadership reads:

“Demand Rep. Max Miller’s resignation based on the domestic and child abuse accusations against him. No member of Congress should be shielded from accountability because they are politically useful.”
