Tell the Senate: Pass the Afghan Adjustment Act

One year ago, tens of thousands of Afghan refugees fled to find safety and security in the United States. Today, these families continue to live in limbo in the country they now call home.

Now is the time for the Senate to act decisively and vote in favor of the Afghan Adjustment Act to ensure a path to legal permanent residency for Afghan allies and refugee families.

The Afghan Adjustment Act is a bipartisan bill that would provide permanent resident status to Afghan refugees paroled into the U.S. on or after July 30, 2021. This bill will also extend permanent resident status to those who were lawfully in the U.S. before the evacuation and whose travel to the U.S. was facilitated or coordinated by the American government.
