Hold Google Accountable for Breaking Antitrust Laws

Google has been squaring off against the Justice Department in court over claims the company is abusing its dominant position in online search and advertising in order to crush rivals. Now, they’re facing another legal challenge.

Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, just kicked off an antitrust lawsuit against Google. The argument is expected to state that Google is violating both state and federal antitrust laws.

“Google has relegated its motto to nearly an afterthought, and is using its size to do evil upon its competitors, innovators, customers and users in a slew of markets it has grown to monopolize,” Epic Games said in a statement.

If Epic wins this lawsuit, not only will it set a warning to other monster companies that seek monopolization, but it could force Google to allow other companies to offer competing app stores.
